Sat through Wanted today, and I’m obviously not the first to think this, but ummm, there are some glaring similarities to an earlier film.
To be fair, the movies aren’t identical, as Wesley puts it “You ever have that feeling where you’re not sure if you’re awake or still dreaming?”. No, wait, that was Neo. Wesley said “You know when you have a dream and you’re half-awake[...] This was NOTHING like that”.
Thanks Wesley for clearing that up.
So, yes, after the initial sense of deja vu, the movies are quite different but they do cover some of the same themes and ideas (red pill or blue?).
Now, how to decide… when I want to escape from the daily grind, do I choose Zion or the Fraternity?
