Just wanted to let you all know that it looks like i’m out of action for a day or two, if not permanently, due to my account being HIJACKED.
At 9:57pm on Tuesday the 22/09/09 I recieved 2 email from steam confirming changes to both the account password and account email address. Moments later i was logged out of steam and unable to re-login. I have contacted steam and followed their proceedure for this sort of thing and hope that they will get back to me shortly (already overdue).
So my good friends, if i have been removed from your friends list or anything nasty is being spread, this is not my fault.
I did extensive virus scanning etc in safe mode and normal mode with the results showing 1 infection of a win32t Trojen (i’m assuming this is the culprit, but i have no idea) This is my first time at ever being hit like this and i’m MAD AS h**l about it. A little embarressed too. But i hope to be online again with you for FRI night, cause i’ll need a bash by then for sure.

But on a serious note, I guess the average Steam account has several games and is a valuable target these days. We should all make sure our accounts are linked with an email address and choose strong passwords.
