A belated welcome to Schmiffo into our merry bunch of deviants and misfits! Schmiffo, or Boggworth (pictured above) as he is known in some exclusive circles, is an Aquarius who likes long walks on the beach, full body latex suits and listening to Justin Bieber over and over again….

Since Schmiffo is a Mac user, he is sincerely hoping that steam pull their thumbs out of their butts and make available more games to the Mac platform! However you can catch him in Altitude, TF2 (when he dual boots to windows) and of course World of Warcraft, where he hangs out with some weirdo cross dressing Mage….

spoonerist is the newest addition to clan SNAP!

spoonerist is a TF2 fiend, and has joined us for some rousing rounds of L4D2 scavenge. He is a shining wit, but mean as custard. Little known to his friends, spoonerist’s favourite movie is A Tale of Two Cities and he’s quite partial to chilled greese sandwiches.

Ok, enough of the soorly spafted croonerisms. Welcome to spoonerist! And we look forward to future shoot-em-up sessions (and hopefully superior wordplay than mine).

A belated welcome to Darxtorm!

Darxtorm joins us from the deep dark south, jointly a fan of zombies and baking culture references (you know, like which herb or bowl to use, etc).

In his spare time, Darxtorm plays Milanese Mandolin and crafts papier-mâché elephant foot umbrella stands. He has also been known to hack corporate firewalls in order to gain access to vast stores of emailed lolcats.

If you bump into him online, say g’day. I’m sure he’d be keen to join you for a round of TF2 or L4D!

A final belated welcome, this time for Rammy! One of the aforementioned fans of technical FPS, Rammy is teh h@rdc0rz!!1

Apart from the CoD franchise, Rammy is accomplished on the TF2 battlefield and has joined us for some epic rounds of L4D2 Scavenge mode.

Rammy is not old enough yet to join in with all clan activities, but I’m sure he’ll participate more in future and I’m proud to welcome him as one of us.

… No more facebook status updates!

Today, another belated welcome, this time for Fergs and Leela. Like myself, they are into gaming and all things Interwebs. But deep down, Leela and Fergs are all about teh zombies!!!

Well, zombies are not their only interest, but suffice to say, you are most likely to find them online when playing Left 4 Dead — or offline, sitting down to a steaming fresh bowl of bwaains (AKA breakfast of champions).

It is worth noting that Fergs’ account may be co-opted by Jr Fergses from time-to-time, so remember to be on your best behaviour.

It’s great to have you both on board, and I look forward to seeing you in game!

It’s been a busy few months for myself and the clan. We’ve seen a number of new members — kidding, that’s not them — It’s been remiss of me to let the additions to the tribe go uncelebrated, so I will attempt to play catch up now…

Many of us snappers have wrestled with inner deamons. Wasted nights and days scouring the extremities of Azeroth, yearning for that epic raid, that perfect drop. It is the same sad tale, told throughout the ages, well, at least since 2004.

Continuing in it’s grand tradition as the foremost rehabilitation service for recovering WoW addicts, clan SNAP welcomes three new members: caethir, Palaanian and Annwn. We first met these three at a less-than-successful local WoWAnon meeting. Palaanian curled up in the fetal position, caethir rocking gently in a corner sucking his thumb and Annwn standing arms stretched in the middle of the room screaming at anyone who entered.

The three are already making good progress, but I want to remind them: In your moments of weakness, when you feel the call of Outland, always look to the example of Shmitee, our greatest rehab success story. And remember, we are all here for you.

Meet Ali

After what has turned out to be a considerable delay, I can now return you to your previously scheduled programming…

Today I introduce SNAP’s very own International Man of Mystery. A man of a thousand names, but we know him best as: Ali.

Ali is a founding member of clan SNAP, a natural born leader and natural born killer. He is always keen to scout a new map for strategic advantage or review an old map for tactical optimisation. Ever adaptable, Ali is equally at home spearheading group maneuvers or when nestled behind a barricade of mechanised machinations. But make no mistake, an Engi’s life is rarely easy.

As we’ve welcomed new members to the clan, I’ve realised that there are a few members who have been overlooked. These tireless warriors have fought for SNAP since it’s inception, forging the clan’s irreverent humour and stainless ethic from mounds of gore and sinew of fallen enemies, plus of course, a dash of mum jokes.

Today I take the opportunity to introduce Shmitee, a founding member of clan SNAP. Shmitee is slow to anger but quick to jest. A loyal ally, and a good friend.

Clan SNAP has had getbent in our ranks for sometime now, however you don’t see him much as he normally plays WoW. But when he does decide to grace us with his presence in TF2 he has shown himself to be more than compotent at maiming the opposition! Welcome getbent!
